F.A.Q.

How old should my child be for an impression?
Impressions can be done for anyone! There is no age limit...I can do impressions for your newborn baby, your great grandparent and anyone in between.  It is never too late to make a first impression for your little, or not so little one.  I have a wide variety of sizes to fit every member (or members) of your family.

What can I expect during my appointment?
When you arrive, I will show you an assortment of options (plates, colors, sizes, shapes, etc.) to choose from.  It won't take too long to take the impression. Once the impressions are taken the rest is up to me! I will complete all the finishing touches in my studio.

What form of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit/debit cards (Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Discover) as well as cash and check.

Can I purchase a gift certificate?
Of course you can.  Gift certificates are great for many occasions – baby showers, birthdays, Mother’s and Father’s day, and for grandparents too!  Please contact me for gift certificate purchases.

When will my impression be ready?
I know it is something that many families are eager to get back, but in order to deliver the best quality product, your order will be completed within 4-6 weeks. The reason for this is because of the time it will take for your piece to dry, be painted, and fired...not to mention all the little extra work I put into it.  As soon as your order is complete, I will notify you for pick-up. If you prefer, I can ship your order to you for a nominal charge.

What happens if my print is damaged during the finishing process?
I am committed to producing high quality products. I use time tested materials and processes. However, on occasion defects occur due to misfirings, glaze impurities or material contaminants.   If this happens to your plate I will be happy to redo your order at no additional cost.

Do you do impressions outside of your studio?
Yes. Please contact me for those special occasions and circumstances. I am able to make house calls, hospital visits, etc. for a nominal fee.

How should I care for my impression?
You will enjoy your kiln-fired ceramic plate for years to come.  Unlike Plaster of Paris products you will not experience color fading or crumbling.  Just like ceramic dishes, these plates need to be treated with care.
